Suitcase of Fairy-Tales
To promote joy in reading, love for books, literacy and to acquaint preschool children (and their families) with different fairy-tales, we have started reading promotion program in our kindergarten "Suitcase of fairy-tales".
A child takes a suitcase with fairy-tale books to home for one week. During the week he has to read one tale/book (with the help of parents, if needed); draw a picture; prepare a short narrative about the book he read; take one photo. Some extra activities are added to the suitcase.
After returning the suitcase, everything being in order, and the narration told, the child receives a diploma and a small gift.
The beauty of autumn nature
Fascinated by the beauty of autumn, children with their teachers created an autumn stained glass window.
Exploring autumn leaves
Children (2-3 years old) went to kindergarten with their parents and collected fallen leaves from various trees. In the group, using a light table, they studied shapes and colors of the leaves, sorted them by size. During the activity, children were encouraged to memorize names and appearance of trees. Later, they colored leaves with gouache and made leaf stamps on a white sheet of paper.
The joys of autumn
Early age children (1-2 years) together with the teachers, talked about trees, were interested in autumn colors and studied the trees and their leaves growing in the yard of the kindergarten. In the group, during the art activity, they colored leaves of various trees.
